Grand Theft Auto 5 has officially become the most profitable video game ever.

Having held third place on the list of highest selling video games of all time up until the most recent release of the game, it rose as the best game in the franchise, and the numbers are simply proving it.

According to a report by MarketWatch, GTA has generated over $6 billion revenue since its initial release in 2013.

This game has made more than any part of the Star Wars, and even Gone With The Wind, which simply made $3 billion in the theaters, says Guinness World Records. According to Doug Cruetz, managing director of technology, media, and telecom sector for the company Cowen, “Grand Theft Auto 5,” from Take-Two Interactive, and Rockstar Games has made more money than any book, film, or game ever.

He also added that “I think it is an outlier,” and “I think maybe with the exception something Nintendo has made — Mario Brothers — but aside from that there’s never been a console game that’s sold so many units.”

There is no doubt that GTA 5 came out as an incredible success. Based on the sales of tickets and titles, GTA has become “the most profitable entertainment product” in History.

Moreover, it is still dominating the market sales in the form of its successor known as GTA Online.

With everything out there visually, gaming fanatics just

can’t resist hijacking a car and punching people in this fantasy land.

Why? The last game was horrible. People will buy anything just as long as they get to shoot stuff mindlessly.

It’s all the mindless violence most of us wish we could do freely. Of course it would be this successful.
