It may be hard to watch someone you love that goes through a hard phase. But, we people often forget how that person experiences the hardest situation, and not we. So, how can you help someone who has panic attacks? If you are watching your beloved one in anxiety every single day, then continue reading and find out how can you help someone who is trying their best to overcome such a nightmare!

First of all, you should understand how those people are not weak. They are not doing it because they want to get someone’s attention, but because they have been strong for so long that they have broke in pieces now.

Never say anyone who is experiencing panic attacks to relax. If that person could relax, he or she would do it immediately. I am pretty sure that you can understand how we humans are not robots and how we cannot switch our emotions by pressing some button. This is a very complex situation.

Besides all that I have mentioned, people also don’t know the difference between panic attacks and extreme stress. Extreme stress is what lead that person to panic attacks. Now, such a person cannot control it anymore.

How does it feel to have a panic attack? It feels like you are dying, literally. And the worst part of it is that you believe in that when you are experiencing such a situation. It may last only for a few minutes, but a person that is experiencing an attack may understand is an eternity. Why it feels like dying? The heart rate becomes too high, the whole body shakes, there may be some hallucinations, difficulties with breathing and so on. Can you know understand how such a person feels? Can you even imagine to experience something like that every single day for a few times?

What can you do? Try to talk with your loved one. Say how you understand a situation, because after reading this article, you do. Comfort that person. Don’t force him or her to talk about it. But, be there to listen once your beloved one opens up.

Be sure that you know what are the triggers that caused all those panic attacks. Avoid them if you see that your loved one doesn’t feel good in such situations.

Why am I telling you this like I know how it feels? Because I really do. I have been there for many years. And trust me, only love of your friends, family, and spouse can help you overcome it. Of course, it would be recommended to find a great psychologist if the things get so complicated. But, I am sure that you two will overcome it together!

I’ve grown up having panic attacks on anything invasive, preparation for tests, my daughters death, changes in myself. It’s a difficult thing to live with. My Dtr, best friend, or Sister seem to be the only ones who can talk sense to me , then some oxygen and I can calm down. I try to mostly think God wouldn’t like to see me like that

It’s just an exaggeration. They shouldn’t make a big deal over a little scare fest.

As long as you prove that you are there for that person and can deal with any ailment, it will mean the world to a loved one.
