How I Relieved my Migraines with Computer Glasses

I’ve struggled with periodic migraines and regular headaches for the last few years. Ever since I graduated from college, and started working as a designer 8-14 hours a day at a crazy busy startup…sometimes I get home at night and have to go straight to bed. My eyes are TIRED, and my head just hurt.

I went home for the weekend, and of course, my mom gave me grief about it. “You only have one set of eyes,” she said…but what could I do? I can’t quit my job…I love it! But I knew there had to be a solution. So I started doing some digging.

Turns out, digital eye strain is a real thing that tons of people experience. Blue light emitted from phones, computers…even fluorescent lighting hurts our eyes and causing headaches. There’s even a study conducted by Harvard that shows that people exposed to a ton of blue light are more likely to get diabetes and cancer. I knew I needed to find a solution to my headaches, as well as prevent potential long-term damage.

I went to Amazon, and found some cheap glasses…but they all had terrible reviews. They were cheap, sure, but I decided that cheap was not the way to go. Like my mom said, I only have one pair of eyes! Then I found Healthy Office.

This company looks like they sell some stuff for work, like supplements and standing desks (which I also need!), but they had a bunch of blue light blocking glasses. I expected these to be pretty ugly, which I was ok with. But I found a few pairs I really liked…they looked like the glasses my design and dev co-workers wear that I’ve been slightly jealous of…lol. So, I wound up buying the Marina Clear glasses.

After about a week, my glasses came in the mail. I emailed the company right away–I couldn’t believe these actually blocked blue light. All the ones I’d seen online had colored or tinted lenses, which I thought blocked the light. Turns out, Healthy Office developed a lens to block more light than any other glasses company that’s still clear. Smart move…these look like prescription glasses. I sometimes even put them on going out at night for a low-key nerd-chic look.

I’ve had these about 6-weeks now, and I sent the company an email RAVING about them…so they asked me to write up a little blurb. For real, my eyes feel better; less dry, and tired overall. And you know what? Not one migraine in the last 15-days or so. I usually get a few a week. It seems to be working!

I’ve recommended these to a ton of my friends. Whether you’re working in front of a laptop all day, or on your phone all the time, these are clutch.

I hope this to be the answer to all my headaches and even my blood shot eyes. I’m tired of having to go through this.

It’s customary for me to get headaches after I arrive from work. I’m going to save up to get these and hopefully it will lessen.

I need one of these ASAP! I didn’t think this could have been a major factor.

Wow I wonder if these will work with regular headaches, not migraines? I also got a yoga ball to sit on at work and that seems to help…I can’t help but sit all slumped over at my desk and then my neck hurts.
