“Fearless girl” Asked to Find a New Home

If to believe on a report published on The New York Times, NYC’s mayor Bill de Blasio, said: “statue will be moved from the southern tip of Broadway to just in front of New York Stock Exchange.”
Mr. de Blasio told the Times, the move is due to safety concerns and pedestrian traffic. De Blasio said, “She (fearless girl) is a potent symbol of the need for change at the highest levels of corporate America.”
There are claims in the media that the charging bull will accompany her to the New York Stock Exchange.
Ever since the catchy statue was installed in front of the bull, Di Modica has opposed this. Di Modica, the man who made “Charging bull” claimed, “fearless girl” has changed the meaning of the bull. “It (charging bull) is not an image of prosperity anymore, but a villainous creature” claimed Di Modica.
The fearless girl is work of famous sculptor, Kristen Visbal; now after a year of the installation of the statue, the officials are worried about the safety hazard it creates. The officials’ the concerns have doubled since a driver killed eight people here several months ago.
Relatively, this point has been the talk of the town from the day; the fearless girl was installed here. A number of people who visit the area, raised alarmingly, hence the change. The statue was placed here in the area temporarily, and after letting it stay here for an extended year, it is time for the figures to move. The official said, “we are worried that crowds around the statutes will be potential targets for a terrorist behind the wheel.” The new location of this beautiful statue is heavily secured and has strict rules for the traffic, which means the officials can relax.
The sculptor of this fearless girl, Kristen Visbal, said, “I am thrilled ‘Fearless girl’ will remain in New York.”
Can’t they just move the bull instead? Will that be too hard?
They need a home ASAP
I think the girl should be placed in front of the bull. She’s staring down “Corporate America” and it’s role on the Women in the Workforce and showing that it’s time for a change. I love where the statue stands on Wall Street. She appears ready to “grab the bull by the horns.” I say leave her there.
Di Modica can suck it. There’s free space to put whatever they want there. It’s not like he owns it either.
I want the bull to go wherever the girl goes. To me there has been no other two statues so meant together to symbolize something so strong and meaningful to what’s currently going on.
I want it to stay there just so it keeps making Wall Street feel intimidated.
I don’t get why this is getting so much attention. There are much better things to see in New York.
I love the imagery ‘Fearless girl’ has presented to everybody and wish it could remain like that. Those in the stock exchange are fearing the image it makes of themselves and are simply looking for whatever excuse for its removal. I really hope it stays right where it is.
What do you mean because of pedestrian concerns? Clearly an excuse since de Blasio never really cares about this in other situations.
