4 Travel Essentials

Whether you plan to travel for a long time or a short time, it’s always important to come prepared. That being said, when it comes to traveling the main struggle is not getting there, but  what to actually, pack and what to leave behind. Regardless of the situation, the items that we have listed below are essential to any travel bag. In this post, we’ll be sharing travel essentials, but also neglecting the obvious items such as change of clothing and general toiletries.

The first item that’s a must is a portable power source. Depending on where you are traveling you may not have ready access to a power source. When you pack this item you save yourself the worry that your electronics are going to die. Furthermore, it saves you from a variety of situations that could really happen if you are going to places where power isn’t available. What’s also important to note is if you are going to hostels, they may not even have a power socket for you available as well.

On the same line of power, another helpful item is a world adapter. The reason this is so important is that not every country has the same sort of plug sockets as your home country. If you plan to visit a foreign country, having something like this can help in ensure you can still use power for a variety of things.

The third on our list of items is a travel towel. Sure, it is an obvious item to bring, however, we often times forget to pack an additional towel. There’s, of course, the one we use for drying up, but if you are going somewhere where there is a beach, you don’t want to be bringing the same towel you used to wash yourself with right? You could always use the hotel towels as well, but it might be smarter to bring another towel of your own. One good towel to consider is getting a micro-towel which is an incredibly low maintenance towel. It can easily fit into the dark holes of any suitcase so if you are worried about space, this towel has got you covered. On top of that, it can dry you within minutes, ensuring that you stay sand free as well as clean all around.

The last item that’s essential is a camera. I know what you’re going to say about this one. “Why not use the camera on my phone?” While that is certainly an option and cameras on phones have come a long way, getting a decent point and shoot camera is actually a lot better. If you can invest in a $300+ camera, you’ll get a cleaner and overall better shot than any digital camera on a phone could. Furthermore, if you go with point and shoot cameras, you won’t have to worry about the hefty prices of lenses. In the end, a camera is essential in every situation when you travel, but taking nice quality pictures is also really nice.

These travel essentials may be obvious, but a lot of people seem to forget the tiny details. These essentials address those things in a few ways so if you have the space to bring them, definitely consider them.
