How Computer Glasses Are Saving My Eyes
![]()
The last few years I’ve noticed working in an office has started to take a toll on my health. Talking to friends and co-workers, many of us were experiencing the same issues. Frequent headaches, eye strain and generally tired eyes from staring at our computer screens all day, which is pretty much unavoidable.
One of my co-workers bought a pair of ‘computer glasses’ from Healthy Office after her optometrist recommended them. She explained that even though she has perfect vision, she was suffering from “digital eye strain” caused by exposure blue light. Blue light is emitted from electronic devices like computer screens, smartphones and even fluorescent lights. Symptoms of digital eye strain include headaches, trouble sleeping and is even linked to macular degeneration.
According to The Vision Council, “More than 83 percent of Americans report using digital devices for more than two hours per day, and 53.1 percent report using two digital devices simultaneously, with 60.5 percent reporting experiencing symptoms of digital eye strain.”
“Nearly 70% of Americans experience digital eye strain due to prolonged use of electronic devices.”

Computer glasses work by blocking blue light and reducing glare from digital devices, just like sunglasses block dangerous rays from the sun.
Needless to say, I ordered a pair for myself, they arrived quickly and came with a really cool foldable case. I chose the Presidio frames which were extremely high quality and arrived quickly. If the Presidio style isn’t for you, Healthy Office has 6 different styles and lots of different colors to choose from. I now wear my computer glasses daily and no longer suffer from that usual 2:00 pm headache and my eyes feel significantly more refreshed at the end of the day. I can’t recommend them enough!
