Serena has been the icon of the feminism ever since she was judged on various social media platforms for being “bulky”, and her owning her athleticism and feminism. But Serena is super cool about that and knows how to chill at the utmost levels.
In an interview given to the Guardian, Serena said: “for every negative comment(s), there’s (are) a million good comments.” “Not everyone is going to like the way I look… what matters most is I like myself” said Williams.
After winning virtually every tournament she’s ever entered, the #girlboss has turned toward fashion industry.
As reported by TMZ, Williams has filed the documents to reregister her new company “Aneres”. Serena started Aneres in the year 2004, and she has decided to reregister it. However it is not clear when Aneres switch was pulled by Serena before, the brand is available on many sites.
TMZ also claims that Serena is looking to take the fashion industry by storm with her new makeup line too, and the ‘marvelous mom’ won’t leave any stone unturned in fashion. Serena is expected to launch a new range of eyeliner, lipstick, and lip gloss, and a whole makeup kit.
Williams’ love for fashion, after her smashing services on the tennis court, is world known. Serena famously expressed her desire to become a nail technician back in 2010. So, from the looks of it, it is safe to say, nail polishing will be part of Aneres’s future plans.
Serena’s personal makeup on the court has been a huge hit too, and it will not surprise many if Aneres launch sports proof makeup line.
Captivatingly, Serena isn’t the first world-class athlete to start her own clothing line. Football legends like David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and many more already have their own clothing lines.
However, the Williams girls’ rivalry will continue on the tennis court too. Serena’s elder sister Venus Williams is already a big hit in fashion with her brand, EleVen. Fans are more than excited to set these two lock horns again.
She should indeed only focus on the positive comments, if she only looks at the negative, it can easily ruin her career.
I’m glad that despite the negative opinions and comments, she’s confident in continuing on and I fully support her.
I really do not like what I’ve seen of that line. She should just stick to tennis.
I can’t wait to try this out then! I love her and trust well what she can make outside of the tennis court.
