You don’t usually think about it, but the answer is always–yes, your cat needs to exercise. When you just think about a fact how your beloved pet sleeps for 15 hours per day, you may admit how making a cat exercise can have a lot of benefits. But, how to do that? We all know how cats can be grumpy. But keep in mind, these animals are actually natural hunters, and more than 59 percent of cats are overweight. Here are some ways to help your cat get more exercise.
1.Their bowl. The best advice here would definitely be to place your cat’s bowl on some high surface. In that case, your cat will need to climb to get food (and we all know how cats enjoy climbing and how they do it naturally). Besides that, you won’t need to force your pet to do anything here, because once your cat becomes hungry, it will naturally climb to eat.
2.All those treats. How many times per day do you give your cat some treats? if you do that regularly, your cat has already realized your schedule and it will always wait at the same time and at the same place to get its reward. How can this be connected with keeping your pet active? You should hide those treats! As we have already mentioned above, this animal is a natural hunter and it enjoys searching for its food. So, hiding those treats may be a perfect idea to keep your cat active.
3.Going for a walk. A few decades ago, it was almost impossible to see people going for a walk with their cats. It was somehow strange. Yet, cats also need to stay active and you shouldn’t ignore that. Luckily for us, people have realized how more and more cats are becoming overweighted and for that purpose they started to take their cats for a walk.
4.Toys. Get some interactive toys for your cat. Not only that your pet will enjoy it, but these would also keep it active.
5.A playmate. If you think that your cat has become too lazy, then you should definitely get it a company. It may be another cat, but it can be a dog too. And don’t worry, cats and dogs only fight in the cartoons.
Make your cat active and happy and enjoy your life with your pet!
