Everyone loves a good TV show, but it can be frustrating starting one that just came out and waiting for new seasons to come. Better Call Saul (Season 6)

First up on the list is the sixth and final season of Breaking Bad spin-off series Better Call Saul. This long-awaited finale premiered on AMC and AMC+ on April 18. It’s a fantastic show whether you’ve seen Breaking Bad or not, and the release of the final season means it’s a perfect time to binge-watch it.

The show is a prequel to Breaking Bad and stars Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy “Saul Goodman” McGill, a hardworking but flawed Albuquerque lawyer who gets involved with a Mexican drug cartel and becomes a top criminal defense attorney. 

Black-ish (Season 8)

Another popular show coming to a conclusion in 2022 is the ABC sitcom Black-ish. The show aired from January 4 to April 19, running for an impressive eight seasons since its first season in 2014.

Black-ish follows a middle-class Black family and the personal lives of each family member. The show has received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations and has received stellar reviews from critics and casual fans.

Atlanta (Season 3)

Donald Glover’s drama-comedy show Atlanta went into its third of four seasons on March 24th. The show follows Earn Marks, played by Glover, a college dropout and aspiring music manager, as well as his cousin Alfred “Paper Boi” Miles, played by Brian Tyree Henry.

Atlanta watches the two cousins as they navigate Atlanta’s rap scene and try to find fame and fortune for themselves through rap music. This show has been awarded Golden Globe awards for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy, as well as Best Actor – Television Series Musical or Comedy (Glover).

Starstruck (Season 2)

Another comedy with a new season in 2022 is BBC’s Starstruck. The show stars Rose Matafeo as Jessie, a young woman in New Zealand who has a one-night stand on New Year’s Eve and later discovers she slept with a movie star.

Season 2 of Starstruck released all at once on February 7, and can be watched on BBC iPlayer. The first season achieved the elusive 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and so far season two seems to be a worthy addition to the show.

Barry (Season 3)

For fans of non-traditional comedy, season three of the dark comedy crime drama Barry premiered on April 24. Barry stars Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor Bill Hader, who plays Barry Berkman, a hitman who travels to L.A. to kill someone but ends up taking acting classes.

Hader’s performance in this show has been the subject of much praise, and his co-stars including Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, Glenn Fleschler, and Henry Winkler are fantastic as well.
