It seems like that something very strange is happening with our planet. When you take a look around yourself, or when you just watch or read the news, you cannot stay calm and not ask yourself; ”What have we done with our planet?” Why am I telling how we, humans, have caused all these ‘natural’ changes that happen around the globe? Because we are polluting the planet each and every day and not even thinking about stopping.
What we will talk about here is that the temperatures have gone too high, and you wouldn’t believe how Pakistan hit high 122.4 degrees! Can you believe that? According to Accuweather data, this is the highest temperature ever recorded on our globe. Can you even believe this to be true? The worst thing here is that it all happened in April, this April!
This amazingly high temperature was recorded in their city named Nawabshah. What such temperature brought to this country and especially to this town is how their people weren’t even able to leave their homes (does that even surprise anyone?). Besides that, that the fact how renders planes were not even able to fly is just frightening.
What do meteorologists say about this catastrophe? They claim how ”heat dome”, region’s high pressuring system, has caused these high temperatures. It is covering all of the Indian Ocean. Is this all about just the pressuring system, or have we been ”playing” with nature too much and for too long?
How did the country react to that? They were so confused that they weren’t even able to think clearly what to do. Many people have died, and especially those with chronic illnesses or many of those people who have been older than 80 years old.
What can Pakistan expect in the summer? When you think about it a bit, you may stay speechless. Having that high temperature in April sounds almost impossible, but here we are!
What about the rest of the world? Should we all be afraid? I think that we should because when you think about all these climate changes that happen each and every day, and when you compare those to the previous years, you can easily see the differences that happen.
When thinking about Pakistan, everyone talks just about terrorism and the danger it can bring. But, everyone is sure now how this country faces more danger from the climate changes.
What will happen with our planet this summer, we can just sit and watch… Or can we try to save the planet and stop behaving like we have been behaving for hundreds of years?
